Pills of wisdom

  • Hone/Smooth and Sharpen your Hope in language (repeat a mantra & clear your mind, to the very essence of your heart). This transforms your Hope into an actionable and practical element;
  • A mantra simply clarifies, concentrates, and consecrates intent, and all meaningful transformation springs from purposeful, devoted intent.
  • look inside yourself. The ability to love another person, depends on your ability to love yourself, which in turn depends on your degree of self-understanding.
  • Your wholehearted presence is a miracle
  • according to Buddha, for true love there is no place for pride
  • five rivers: the body (“which we do not know well enough,” he rues); sensations (“Each sensation is a drop of water in the river,” he writes, and meditation is the practice of sitting on the banks of the river, observing the passing sensations); perceptions (“You must look deeply into their nature in order to understand.”); mental formations, of which Buddhism identifies fifty-two — feeling-states and faculties like happiness, hate, worry, distraction, appreciation, and faith; and consciousness, the last and deepest of the five rivers
  • The intention of deep listening and loving speech is to restore communication, because once communication is restored, everything is possible, including peace and reconciliation

May this week be filled with deep inner joy, and the willingness and the possibility to make a real transformation in your life!

always, with Hope & a Smile!

Yours,

Gaia

Riding the vibrations of Life

The texture of a soul is defined by the songs that one’s listens to. The taste, flavor and texture of this nourishing food – music– changes over time, like our bodily changes, our preferences in terms of food, clothes, shoes, people to hang out with, topics of reading, discussion and – more in broader terms – it is a constant roller-coaster of emotions aiming at knowing yourself and how to align to you, & to navigate the mysteries of life itself.

The compass of my past months around Bangladesh has been to listening and to writing. Although I keep coming back to my inner passion: writing & only, impetuously, constantly, and abruptly – literally with a trivial fall that created a nice little scar on my upper lips – the rushing enthusiasm of jotting an idea down – for it not to let it fly away in some other corners of the mind – I have re-evaluated the great inner beauty of listening to music, to people and to listening to my dreams (at night, when I sleep, so many revealing images appear to my eyes).

Lately, whenever I sing, some songs go down to my soul and they shiver down my spine. The feeling is like someone is touching the piano of my soul, my keyboard, and my heart opens (listen to the depth of the musical notes & instruments, here). It is that deep connection I am looking for in life encounters & in people’s faces.

Of course, fun times setting sails for exciting global travels, experiencing cultures, getting to know history, looking in awe at humans’ inventions and architecture, and how cities are built up, how people live in it and how they mingle and go together places.

But a good musical chemistry can be explored, fine-tuned, so that bodies & souls connect in harmony and choose one another – I always think of the perfect balance & harmony of nature (how everything always falls into place at some point).

On this NPR Tiny Desk, my favorite song is “send me your location, i do not need nothing else but you”
My favorite song is: Baby can you focus on me, I am still looking at you

With this little reflection note, I wish you can start a relaxing chill-out weekend, & gladly sharing a musical sets for you

+ life lesson: do not think of too many things at the same time, you can slip and fall!
